Ministerial Committee Against Violence reviews crime and violence prevention programs

The Ministerial Committee Against Violence, Chaired by the Minister of Public Security, Yitzhak Aharonovitch, convened on Tuesday, January 12. The committee reviewed the Ministry of Public Security's activities in the battle against severe crime – including legislation efforts, the extension of the City without Violence program, and the implementation of the Program against Alcohol Abuse in Israel. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Justice, the Minister of Education, the Minister of Welfare, the Minister of Religious Services, the Deputy Minister of Pensioner Affairs, the Attorney General, representatives of the Ministry of Welfare and Representatives of the Israel Tax Authority.
